Old Mystic Inn

The Old Mystic Inn, a picturesque country colonial and carriage house, circa 1784, is tucked in the quiet hamlet of Old Mystic. Just minutes South of the Inn are the popular tourist destinations of Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, galleries, boutiques, and charter sailing.

But all is peaceful at the red inn as you relax in the hammock under the huge maple trees or stroll past the perennial gardens and enjoy tea out in the gazebo.

Formerly the Old Mystic Book Shop, a local landmark specializing in antique books and maps, the Inn abounds in history. Guest rooms, each named for a New England author, are unique with special touches that make you feel like your home away from home. Our rooms vary with choices of canopy beds, whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. A full country breakfast is served by candlelight each morning.
